1. Washington DC
You can’t make a list of the best places to experience in the United States without considering its capital Washington DC. While there’s lots of political reasons and historical significance to the city that’s not the main reason it makes the list.
If you’re not into politics don’t let that stop you because there are several sights to see that will wow and amaze even the most skeptical of travelers.
The Smithsonian Institute can take days to get through with 19 separate museums, 4 research centers, a zoo, and more to educate and entertain family members young and old.
There are dozens of other museums, art galleries, the National Mall and National Zoo, libraries, embassies, and the Kennedy Center.
2. Pacific Coast Highway California
Considered one of the world’s most scenic drives the Pacific Coast Highway offers a plethora of photo opportunities and breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
If you head to the North you can see the world’s tallest tree or visit several national parks in this area along with several tourist attractions.
Traveling along the coast to the south you’ll find more than enough to entertain everyone.
There’s the Golden Gate Park and Bridge to take in with the Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz close by. As you travel down the highway you can take in beautiful and historic sites like Monterey, San Jose, and Santa Cruz.
Keep traveling and you can experience the Santa Barbara Zoo, Malibu beaches or Los Angeles Santa Monica Pier. Perhaps you’ll even see some stars or catch the taping of your favorite shows while there.
3. New York, New York
Another place you might see celebrities while you’re taking in the sights is in New York.
You have your pick of activities from Broadway theater to world-class art galleries and from Time Square to Central Park, there’s always something to see and do in New York.
You can take the ferry to Staten Island or visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Catch a baseball or hockey game or grab a bite to eat. There’s no shortage of shopping, entertainment or adventure to be had in New York.

Whether your interests are money, beer or baseball, animals, coffee or flowers Colorado has something intriguing for everyone.
5. Key West Florida
If you’d rather lie on the beach than hit the slopes perhaps you’d prefer Key West to Colorado.
You can swim with dolphins or see the ocean floor with a glass bottom boat. Visit the house of famous writer Ernest Hemingway or take in the lovely Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory.
If you want more excitement you can head a little further north and take in all the tourist attractions around Orlando, walk the historic streets of St. Augustine or play 18 holes in Ponte Verda Beach like the PGA pros.
